FAQ

What is your approach to newborn photos?

Having your photos taken right after your newest family member arrives is one of the most special ways to remember your family during this new stage. My approach to newborn photos is keep them natural to you and your family. It is important for your family to feel space during the session to have your newborn as comfortable as possible so that we can create beautiful, meaningful images that showcase their perfect features, and tiniest details. I would love to work with you to arrive at the best time for you and your newborn on the day of your session. Capturing your newborn when they are at their littlest is the perfect way to cherish the moment for many years to come.

How soon after giving birth should we do newborn photos?

I recommend doing newborn photos around 10-15 days after the baby is born so that they are still sleepy for photos. Newborn sessions typically take about 1 - 1.5 hours and are done in the mid morning when the baby is most content right after a full feed (and when we have the best natural window light). I do like to give space during this time for any feeds, changing and if they do become fussy to have some snuggle time.

What is your approach with family photos?

Having photos of your family in the season you are in is one of the most special and timeless things you can invest in. These photos will be with you to cherish as the years go by and is so wonderful to look back on. My approach to family photos is to keep them as natural to your family as possible (along with a few posed images looking at the camera for grandma’s fridge). It’s important for kids to be themselves in a comfortable environment, so that I can capture who they are the most. I work best with natural light that is either in your home or outside in a beautiful location. I would love to work with you in choosing a space or location that would be the best for your family and to get the most out of your photos for years to come!

Do you offer mini sessions?

Yes! I love doing mini sessions! I offer a variety of dates throughout the spring, summer, & fall for mini sessions. These sessions are short and sweet, and great for keeping things fun for littles! Contact me for availability.
